VATCalc hires tax tech veteran, Kid Misso, to lead growth

Tax tech disruptor, VATCalc, has appointed Kid Misso as its Chief Operating Officer to lead the scaling-up of its revolutionary application for indirect tax

VATCalc is already building an impressive collection of global customers which have adopted its single tax determination and reporting application. They are selecting VATCalc’s innovative platform where a single invoice has VAT calculated and reported, both on traditional VAT filings as well as digitally, as tax authorities around the world adopt live and e-invoicing mandatory reporting.

Kid’s deep sector experience to power VATCalc expansion

Kid’s focus will be driving rapid growth for VATCalc in its UK and Belgian teams. He is a VAT technology veteran with a unique blend of automation, tax and commercial skills. His early career was spent in a variety of technology roles at Xerox, American Express and Commerce One. Kid has been in VAT technology since he helped launch Sabrix (the first Tax Engine to support VAT) into the European market in 2004. Since then he has led high performing tax automation teams in a range of diverse disciplines, including Product Management, Sales, Business Development, Sales Engineering and Consulting contributing to high double digit growth for his business lines in Thomson Reuters and Avalara (2018 IPO on New York stock exchange).

Kid commented:

“I have been blown away by the ambition and technical jump VATCalc’s team have already achieved. And this is endorsed by some of the great customer names they have already signed so early.  Having been in this sector for several decades, with some huge global tax reforms in store, I am convinced that getting tax right in real-time is going to be at the core of international businesses. VATCalc is going to emerge as a leader. So I’m delighted to be joining a hugely experienced leadership team.”
