Canada Saskatchewan 2022 PST changed

Exemption for audio books; PST on admission fees for various activities

Canada Saskatchewan 2022 budget included a number of Provincial Sales Tax (PST) changes. This included:

  • Audio books will be exempted from PST from 1 April 2022.
  • Admission prices to cultural, sporting, fairs, golf, gyms and sporting events will now be subject to PST from 1 October 2022.

Saskatchewan is one of Canada’s 13 ten provinces and three territories.  The Federal 5% Goods and Services Taxes is due in all of these. Then they have the option to add their own Provincial taxes on top. Saskatchewan has a PST of 6%. Meaning the combined GST and PST is 11%.
