Transaction data based on myDATA submissions now available for 2022 filings onwards
The Greek tax office, AADE, is now offering voluntary pre-completed VAT returns for taxpayers to use. This covers late or corrective 2022 returns going forward. This service has been introduced at the start of December 2022.
Greek myDATA digital transaction reporting was phased in starting July 2021. The transactional-level reporting has now made it possible for AADE to prepare draft returns for taxpayers, which they may review, amend and submit as a final return.
As part of the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age reforms, it has included the project of pre-filled VAT returns as a potential savings under its Digital Reporting Requirements pillar.
